Honour a Teacher:

With the end of the school year quickly approaching, many parents are beginning to think about ways to honour those who have invested so much of themselves in their children. The Education Foundation of Niagara is once again providing the opportunity for them to do just that through our Teacher Tribute cards. Parents can make a donation to the Foundation in honour of a teacher and we will send that teacher a card letting them know of the donation before the end of the school year.

Tributes can be made online at www.efnniagara.ca/donate.

GRADUATION IS TUESDAY, JUNE 27TH AT 6:30 PM - IT'S BEING HELD AT CENTENNIAL SS.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO USE DREAMBOX FOR 30 MINUTES PER WEEK. SEVERAL STUDENTS ALSO HAVE ACCESS TO RAZ KIDS - A GREAT LEARNING TO READ PROGRAM.

Thank you to MR. MALLETT - he once again has offered to build wooden projects with our students ranging from decorative Snowmen to Adirondack Chairs. Notes will be coming home as to when your child's class is participating and the cost of the item. Payment can be made through CASH ONLINE. Please sign up if you haven't yet.

OUR GOALS FOR THIS YEAR

1. Improving student thinking and perseverance while working on math questions.

2. Increase the use of complex multiple choice questions so students are familiar with doing the math required to make the correct choice.

3. Support students in the dissection and understanding of questions when answering open ended questions so they can provide an accurate and thorough response.
