OCTOBER WILL BE ANOTHER BUSY MONTH HERE AT QUAKER ROAD SCHOOL. CHECK OUT THE NEWSLETTER AND CALENDAR FOR IMPORTANT DATES.
TEAMS ARE SET FOR CROSS COUNTRY, INTERMEDIATE VOLLEYBALL. BOTH OF OUR CO-ED SOCCER TEAMS DID A TERRIFIC JOB REPRESENTING US AT THE ONE DAY TOURNAMENT.
PICTURE DAY IS OCTOBER 6TH - FOR THOSE OF YOU AT CROSS COUNTRY, RETAKES WILL BE AVAILABLE LATER IN THE MONTH.
INTERMEDIATE STUDENTS WILL HAVE THEIR IMMUNIZATIONS ON THE 6TH AS WELL.
OCTOBER IS A GREAT MONTH FOR STUDENTS TO MEET SOME ACADEMIC GOALS. PLEASE DISCUSS WHAT THEY ARE WITH YOUR CHILD AND WORK ON THOSE FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES EVERY NIGHT. READING IS ALWAYS AN EXCELLENT FAMILY EVENT. PRACTISING MATH FACTS IS ALSO AN EASY TASK TO DO WHILE ON ROAD TRIPS.
HALLOWEEN - THIS YEAR AT QUAKER SCHOOL, HALLOWEEN WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 31ST. REGULAR CLASSES WILL OCCUR DURING PERIODS 1,2,3. PRIMARY STUDENTS WILL PARTICIPATE IN A PARADE BEGINNING AT PERIOD 4 (12:10 PM ) THROUGH THE SCHOOL AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD. FOLLOWING THAT, THEY WILL PARTICIPATE IN CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES. JUNIOR STUDENTS WILL DO SOME FUN THINGS IN THEIR CLASSROOMS AND INTERMEDIATE STUDENTS WILL PLAY GAMES OR DANCE IN THE GYM DURING THE AFTERNOON. A GAMES ROOM WILL BE SET UP FOR STUDENTS WHO DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN HALLOWEEN EVENTS.
